Bio
Rocketed from his home planet of Krypton, found by a Kansas family, and raised as Clark Kent, Pete realized that this story would be MUCH more interesting than his own. However, this is NOT his story, despite his apparent dementia to the contrary.

Actually, Pete is a rarity (if not an oddity) in these parts, as he is an ACTUAL Florida Native! Born in Halifax hospital on October 6th, 1971, Pete was raised 20 miles to the West in DeLand, FL.

At a very early age, Pete was fascinated with radio. By age 10, he would CONSTANTLY call his local radio station in Deland and bother evening Disc Jockey Tim Probst by requesting Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" EVERY SINGLE NIGHT FOR A MONTH! Much to Pete's surprise, Tim was always glad to hear from him, and would spend many an evening talking with him, and listen to his bits and impressions. "I'm pretty sure that he just picked up the phone and left the room for a while, as I chatted on, and on, and ON, but I can't confirm that!".

In an extremely gracious move, Pete was invited to come down to the radio station and spend the day learning all about radio and how to be a DJ. This was a day that changed his life, and it is one that Pete looks back on with EXTREME fondness and gratitude. "I will never be able to fully repay Tim for what he gave me that day. He showed me how to set up a break, spin records, do the news, EVERYTHING! It was probably one of the greatest days of my life! To this day, whenever I have kids stop by the studio on a tour, I try to show them all of the stuff that he showed me when I was their age. You never know how that is going to affect someone's future. It sure had an impact on ME!".

Fast-forward to 1995 and Pete got his first job in radio thanks to the efforts of THREE people, John Owens, John Rivers, and KINGBIRD. "I had been working as a night club DJ for about five and a half years, when I found out that there was an opening at 98.1FM and I sent in a tape that I made in my home with two tape recorders and a microphone. It was TERRIBLE, but KINGBIRD must have heard something he liked, because six weeks later I was on the air and SCARED TO DEATH!!!!! I didn't move! I was GLUED to that chair from Midnight until 6:00am, even though I had to go to the bathroom at about 4:00am! When six o'clock came, I FLEW out of that studio! I had made it through my first air-shift, and I have loved EVERY minute of my life in radio since then!"

On July 15th, 2007, Pete ended five years of doing his afternoon drive show, and moved to evenings from 7p-12midnight.

You can see Pete at The Rockin' Ranch nightclub in Ormond Beach on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights where he has been the house DJ for the past TWELVE years, and voted "The Best DJ In Volusia County" for three years. If you're feeling REALLY adventurous, you can have him come DJ, videotape, or photograph your weddings or private functions. Find out more by e-mailing him at capedaprod@hotmail.com He's good, but he's WEIRD! Don't say we didn't warn you!
